WorldCon 2013 Report: Day Four — Hugo Awards Ceremony
Sunday, September 01, 2013
After four WorldCons, my first Hugo Awards Ceremony!
Some terrific social support from MoC Paul Cornell and winning artist John Picacio who both used their moments on-stage to speak out and support some of the madness, internally within fandom and externally in the political world, that has been happening.
Some of the award choices were disappointing—but then aren’t there always some?
In the end, though, the Hugo ceremony probably did more for my spirit than most of the sessions I attended this time.
