Yes, a new personal word count record.

In some other ways, this was also a record year in other ways:

• I didn’t get desperately sick for two or three days somewhere along the way.
• Things at the day job did not get completely out of hand.
• I did not—and still have not—conjured up an idea for a sequel.

After kind of a rough middle stretch, some parts of the story finally came together for me in the last week.

Will I ever go back and finish this? Probably. It will need some serious structural changes, though.
